In short, everything is taken care of for you. And it’s my absolute pleasure to make it all happen.

Family photo sessions are a beautiful thing—but all too often the images from your shoot only live to see screen time or make their way to a holiday card. As a portrait photographer and trained custom framing artist—who spent 15 years in the NYC fashion industry NYC and understands the importance of aesthetics—I wanted to build a better way.

My white-glove, end-to-end process gets you the photos you’re seeking and gets them up in your living space in a way you’ll love. I take care of every last detail—while you simply share what speaks to you and show up for your shoot. No more endless scrolling through an overwhelming online gallery. No more struggling to figure out which images are your favorites, let alone finding a place to print them. No more searching for the right frames or a handyman you can trust to hang them properly.

A note about your experience

BUT FIRST—

GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE PROCESS THAT GETS YOU.

Here’s How It Works

We begin with an in-home design consultation where we’ll go over everything from wardrobe to your preferred style of imagery.

I get a feel for your interior aesthetic and use specialty software to mockup how your final framed photos will look in your home.

We’ll also walk through my pricing menu to ensure you have a clear idea of your options upfront.

Setting you up for success

01. Design consultation

I’ll share a custom mood board to inspire wardrobe, hone the style and tone of the shoot, and ensure you end up with the images you’re envisioning from our portrait session.

02. Inspiration refinement

I direct you through poses, interact with the little ones to bring out the big smiles, and ensure you and yours are comfortable and cared for as I capture you at your best.

03. Photo session

Within a few weeks of your session, we’ll get together to view your photos and narrow down your favorites to purchase. I’ll help you decide which images to spotlight in frames and view mockup options in real time as we finalize your selections for custom framing or a complete gallery wall. I’ll also share gorgeous photo paper samples, and you’ll get to see and touch the beautiful album options made by my professional photographer-only accessible bespoke album creator. The quality is unmatched by anything you can purchase online.

NANTUCKET FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY | OFFERED EXCLUSIVELY IN THE SUMMER SEASON

— Kim Peretta

"Working with Erin was a luxury, full-service experience. She did everything from top to bottom for us to make sure the photoshoot was perfect. It was unlike any experience I've had working with another photographer."

I had this wonderful young family reach out to me with a newborn of only a few months old. They had no sleep and worried that my process would be too much for them. I told them that the exact opposite was true - my process is exactly tailored for them. Let me take the reins and create a session perfect for your family. We had a wonderful time together and they now have three gorgeous frames up on their wall that make their house feel even more like a home.

A photography experience that leaves you saying, “That was so fun, when can we do this again?”

01.

As an artist I love to move past the standard posed family portraits (although I always capture those as well) and into those creative shots that aren’t always obvious. Centering a photo around how your daughter’s tiny hand clasp perfectly into yours or zooming in on your toddler’s curly wisps of hair that you’ll someday miss and want to remember.

You’ll have so much variety and emotion in your final gallery you’ll want to frame them all.

A full photo gallery that captures real smiles, creative shots and authentic family connections.

I’ve been there. Starting at an empty wall and being stuck - frozen on where to even begin when it comes to designing a wall of family photographs.

Allow me to design not only the style of your custom frames, but also the size and layout for how they will live on your walls.

I’ll come over, measure, photograph it, put it in my software to allow you to visualize it and modify it to perfection.

You’ll feel a huge weight lifted off your shoulders knowing it will be done - and done well.

A thoughtfully designed layout for the blank wall you’ve been wanting to fill with photos.

03.

You never have to wonder what’s next or nudge me for more information—every single step of the process is thought out for you.

I keep you apprised of things without overwhelming you, work in a way that aligns with your schedule, and am driven by getting you exactly what you want, without any unnecessary upselling.

Trusted guidance.

04.

Not only do I love to design classic, timeless artwork that will stand the test of time, but I also care deeply about preserving these photographs with archival materials so that they can.

I personally hand-craft every frame in-house in my private workshop and am professionally trained in custom, archival matting, and framing techniques. The prints themselves are also of the highest quality and I always recommend opting for fine-art papers (I partner with a Hahnemühle-certified studio for archival digital printmaking). I guarantee your framing for your lifetime—or I replace it.

Photos and products that will never go out of style.

The Erin Belles Difference

–  Jamie

“An absolute dream.

“Erin was an absolute dream! She kept us fully informed with everything we needed—what to expect, package details, and reminders. On the day, she was amazing with our kids, making the whole experience stress-free and fun. The photos turned out beautifully, capturing our family perfectly.”

–  Belen

“An amazing  photographer.”

“Besides being an amazing photographer, you are also so great at editing the photos. I am not the kind of person who likes to have her pictures taken and I don’t think I photograph well—and yet you have managed to make all of us look so beautiful and full of joy.”

–  Reanna

“A true  artist.”

“We recently had the pleasure of working with Erin for both a maternity and newborn photo shoot, and I cannot express how thrilled we are with the entire experience. From start to finish, it was an absolute delight. Erin is not just a talented photographer; she is a true artist who knows how to capture the most precious moments. We were initially impressed by her portfolio, but the actual experience far exceeded our expectations.”

–  Katy

“Absolutely incredible.

“Erin did our newborn photo shoot and it was absolutely incredible. She was so gentle and sweet to our baby and the whole experience felt extremely calming and professional. Our pictures couldn’t have come out better. We are so lucky to have connected with Erin.”

ANSWERS TO YOUR

Where are you located—and do you travel? +

I’m based in Fairfield, CT and serve clientele across Fairfield County (a group of towns just north of New York). I travel to New York City and surrounding areas for an increased session fee. I also serve Nantucket, MA in the summers.

Why is custom framing a better option than store-bought? +

Custom framing is all about bringing out the best in your images and preserving them in a way a store-bought frame simply can’t. I ensure every frame fits perfectly, balancing the artwork’s aesthetic with the space it will occupy—and I use high-quality materials sourced from all over the world, acid-free mats, and UV-protective glass to protect and enhance your portraits. Custom framing also allows us to get deeply creative with personalized expressions (think: letterpress designs, shadow boxes, monograms, etc.) The quality of custom-framing is hard to accurately encompass with words—when you see the frames (and hold their weight) in your hands, you immediately feel the difference.

What is included with the session fee? +

The session fee covers my personalized plan and preparation for your session (including any customized outfit and posing inspiration boards), the design consultation, up to 1-hour photo shoot time, and the reveal session. Digital images and products are purchased separately at the reveal session.

How do I choose my photos? +

After your photo session, we will schedule a reveal session to view your images together and narrow down your favorites to purchase. Many clients say the reveal meeting was a huge help and a necessary part of the process—what we can do together in less than an hour often saves many hours of your time trying to narrow down your images and select your favorites to print on your own.

Will you help me with what to wear and how to pose? +

Absolutely. During our design consultation, we’ll work together on wardrobe styling (I’m even happy to help you pull wardrobe options from your closet) and discuss the mood of your shoot. I’ll direct you during the shoot to ensure we get photos that align with the tone you desire (editorial, lifestyle, portrait—or a mixture).

Do you edit all of the photos you take during our session? +

Not all of the shots taken will be edited. I filter out all of the test shots, duplicate images, those with poor focus and other not-so-perfect expressions. I edit roughly 100 of the best photos for your selection gallery. During our reveal appointment, you’ll view the photos and I’ll help you narrow down to your favorites to purchase.

Do you retouch in Photoshop? +

Yes—I retouch skin texture and tone as well as edit out other distracting elements. I can also face-swap if the photos permit it while looking authentic. If you have any particular requests or callouts, please let me know during the reveal session, and I'll do my best to accommodate them.

Can you custom frame artwork for me, even if I didn't have a photo session with you? +

Absolutely. I offer a-la-carte custom framing and gallery-wall styling services for any of your existing images or artwork.

Do you have a studio? +

I have a studio in Fairfield, CT (1.5 hours from Manhattan) that is used solely for newborn and children's portraits. Portraits taken in my studio are heirloom-style—with minimalistic backgrounds and optimal lighting that clearly capture your child’s features.

Do you offer holiday mini sessions? +

Yes—I offer seasonal mini sessions outdoors at predetermined locations for a reduced price. Sign up for my emails (below) to be the first to know when mini sessions are posted.
